After 12 years of being best buds, I said goodbye to Dylan on Saturday. He went peacefully with me and was a good boy up until the end. (though he never changed his opinions on vets or dogs in the waiting room)

Because no one will ever have a pet as awesome as Dylan (trust me, he'd make a cat lover out of anyone) and because my heart is broken right now, I wanted to share my favorite things about that little oddball.

1. He had extremely bizarre taste in food. He hated fish. He loved anything with curry or buffalo sauce. He loved cheeseburgers and yogurt. (Only the raspberry flavor) He once got an ice cream headache from eating a vanilla pudding pop too fast. He also really liked lentils.

2. He was very...human like. Most of the time when people met him they would say things like "He seems like a reincarnated human" or "Why is he winking at me?" Sometimes he liked to wear ties.

3. I am a singer, which means practicing at home. Dylan hated it. UNLESS I sang two songs: "Walking on Sunshine" or "Over the Rainbow". He also hated it if you played Beyonce.

4. He "fainted" if you put anything around his middle. Not tightly, just loosely tied a ribbon and he'd flop right over. The only toys he liked included cat nip. And if you laughed when he played, he'd get embarrassed and stop.

5. He was extremely cuddly. He usually wanted to lay as close to my face as possible, but he'd eventually settle for sleeping on my lap or by my side. He would pretty much sit on anyone's lap, much to their surprise.

6. He would drink out of anything but his water bowl, (The bathtub was his favorite) and he put things he liked in his food bowl. (Hair ties were the top) He was the greatest cat that ever lived and I will miss him every day.
